The Future Looks Bright And You Have To Use Solar Shades
Michalis 'BIG Mike' Kotzakolios

Technology has its unique way weaving its way into our homes. It may provide a solution to the most pressing of needs, or it may provide some answers for matters which are arguably trivial. Nonetheless, there is no denying the fact that technology is meant to make our lives easier and more enjoyable.

Take for example the technology behind solar shades. Such was developed primarily for people whose rooms are situated under the direct rays, and the direct heat, of the sun at one point during the day. This positioning poses a lot of problems. None of them are life-threatening, of course, but they do provide a certain level of discomfort nevertheless. We won't be able to enjoy the programs we watch on TV, because the sun will cause the monitors to glare. We won't be able to get a good sleep with such rays blinding our eyes, even if they're closed. Worst of all, the heat of the sun will envelop our rooms and will make rest quite impossible.

The solution for many people is quite simple: get some shades. But conventional shades will just block the view that serves as the aesthetic purpose of windows. Curtains, for example, will just make the room feel enclosed, and it can develop claustrophobia among some folks.

But solar shades are great alternatives. They're shades that don't look like shades. Their distinctive feature is their transparency. You can still look out your window to marvel at the sight outside the same. How is this possible? The solar shades are embedded with particles that filter the sun's rays. The sun will be blocked from entering your room, without having to sacrifice the clearness of the shades. These particles are so small that they do not impede your ability to see through the material.

Additionally, since these particles block the sun's rays, they will also prevent the entry of heat indoors. The result? You have a fantastically cool room despite the sunny view of the outside world.

With solar shades, you won't have to worry about the adverse effects of direct sunlight as the damaging rays will not be able to enter your home. The very same technology used for shades of this nature are also used for modern sunglasses, though with the former, more effort has been made to ensure that they are more efficient in combating the heat and the glare of the sun in a larger environment.
